Getting Around

Woodinville is car-centric but well-connected. Several major arterials and SR-522 feed into I-405 and I-5, and bus and ride-share options have grown in recent years.

Driving

I-405 is the primary north-south freeway, accessed via SR-522 (Bothell) or NE 124th/Willows Road (Kirkland). Downtown Seattle is roughly 30–45 minutes; Bellevue is 25–30.

Bus & Transit

King County Metro and Sound Transit serve Woodinville. Sound Transit's Stride S2 BRT (opening on SR-522) will significantly improve service to UW and Seattle.

Bike & Walk

The Sammamish River Trail makes biking to Redmond, Bothell, or Kirkland a real commute option in good weather. Downtown Woodinville is walkable; outlying neighborhoods are not.

Air Travel

Sea-Tac International Airport is about 35 miles south — typically a 45–60 minute drive. Paine Field in Everett is a closer regional option for select carriers.
