Weather

Classic Pacific Northwest: mild, overcast winters with frequent rain; warm, dry, and famously beautiful summers. Snow is rare and short-lived.

Summer (June–September)

Average highs in the high 70s, with stretches of sunny low-80s in July and August. Humidity is low, evenings cool quickly, and rainfall drops to almost nothing in mid-summer.

Fall (October–November)

Crisp mornings, brilliant foliage in the wine country, and the return of consistent rain. Highs in the 50s and 60s.

Winter (December–February)

Mild and wet. Average highs in the mid-40s, lows in the mid-30s. Snow falls a few times most winters and usually melts within a day or two.

Spring (March–May)

Cool, green, and gradually warming. Cherry blossoms, tulips at Skagit Valley, and the first wave of farmers market produce.
